2019 Honda CR-V: Continuous Improvement, Year After Year

The 2019 Honda CR-V continues to improve, year after year. On the other hand, it has been a favorite of Canadians and buyers in Nova Scotia for a long time, and Honda knows better than to mess with a proven recipe. Therefore, the CR-V was not reinvented when Honda introduced the latest generation two years ago, but rather improved upon in every possible way. More spacious, more efficient, more refined, more comfortable and more enjoyable, the CR-V is one of the most versatile and efficient compact SUVs you can buy.

Great powertrain features in the 2019 Honda CR-V

All-wheel drive is standard on most models, and the standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine develops 190 hp and 179 lb-ft. The fuel economy is rated 8.7/7.2 L/KM in city/highway driving. This powerplant is regulated by Honda’s continuously variable transmission.

Drivers are aided by a collision mitigation braking system which may automatically brake in response to an unheeded forward collision warning. A road departure mitigation system may brake to stop the vehicle from exiting the road. Adaptive Cruise Control relieves the driver’s stress by permitting low-speed following without driver intervention.

A comfortable, well-appointed cabin in the 2019 Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V serves both people and cargo. All editions, including the base LX-FWD trim, have heated front seats and a dual-zone automatic climate control system to keep you and your family more comfortable. On the dashboard, a seven-inch display brings you HondaLink and rearview camera images.

Other tech includes push button start, two USB charging ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The large cargo space is rated at 1110 litres and has an adjustable floor. The folding seats expand the cargo rating to 2146 litres. Honda CR-V EX models add a retractable cargo cover. Drivers will appreciate the 12-way power adjusting driver deat and HomeLink remote system. Passengers in the back seat will appreciate two rear USB ports. There’s also the full suite of Honda active safety technology found in the Honda Sensing package offered in every Honda CR-V with all-wheel drive. Found in the Honda Sensing package are lane departure warning and prevention, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, and collision mitigation, among other features.

EX-L cabins come with perforated leather-trimmed seats and the steering wheel and rear seats are power-heated. New tech features include a more powerful audio system, more speakers, and SiriusXM. As the top trim, the Touring model adds the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, a 331-watt audio system, and HD Radio. The instrument panel adds a rich woodgrain finish.

With its range of trims, efficient powertrain, and standard safety features, the 2019 Honda CR-V stands up to the competition. Come and see it today at Ramsay’s Honda.
