The Honda Passport 2019 Stands Out From The Crowd

Held six months ago, the Los Angeles Auto Show was the last major automotive exhibition of 2018 and saw a wide range of new models introduced to the market. Among these is the all-new Honda Passport 2019, the fourth SUV in the Honda lineup that is positioned between the CR-V and the Pilot. Yes, after more than 15 years away from the market, the Honda Passport is back.

With the Honda Passport, Honda offers its customers a slightly more rugged SUV that is not afraid of going off-road. Conversely, the new Passport will be just as comfortable and refined as the Honda CR-V and Pilot.

These two models have been very successful because of their versatility as well, and the Passport has the same versatility. According to Honda, it offers the largest cargo space in its class and even have floor storage in the cabin.

Under the hood, the Honda Passport 2019 is equipped with the same 3.5-liter V6 engine from the Honda Pilot with the same 9-speed automatic transmission. It does, however, receive a more robust chassis, higher ground clearance and a traction management system that offers driving modes for mud and sand, among others.

The five-passenger Honda Passport 2019 comes standard with all-wheel drive and the complete suite of Honda Sensing active safety technologies.

“The all-new 2019 Honda Passport provides the on-road comfort and nimble handling buyers will appreciate on their daily commute with the robust off-road and all-weather capability that make for a great weekend adventure vehicle,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada Inc. “We saw an opportunity to deliver something that Honda is uniquely capable of making and the new Passport is in a great position to capture buyers looking for a more personal, powerful and capable Honda SUV.”
